Dovelio is a small consultancy in the Bronx that does three things for independent clinics: HIPAA security risk assessments, security-key MFA rollouts, and front-desk training. We built the whole firm around not doing a fourth. We’d rather be the people who tell you the router closet needs a lock than the people who sell you a dashboard.

How we work

Anyone can paint values on a wall. These are the rules that cost us something, so you can check we’re keeping them.

01Price before kickoff A flat fee, in writing, before anyone travels to your office. A risk assessment is $2,840 for up to 10 staff and 12 devices.	If we scope it wrong, we eat the hours. No change orders, no “discovery” surcharge halfway through.
02Cheaper option first When something has to be bought, we name two options and lead with the cheaper one. Security keys are billed at cost, about $55 each.	We take no reseller commission, so every time you pick the cheap one, we leave money on the table.
03Written for the practice manager Page one is a ranked list of risks in plain English. The technical detail sits behind it for whoever wants it.	No 90-page heat map to wave around. Our reports look less impressive and get read.
04Say no on the first call More than 50 seats, or want a 24/7 pager and a SOC? We’ll say so inside fifteen minutes and point you somewhere better.	Fifteen minutes of our time, and an engagement we don’t take.
05Work when patients aren’t there MFA rollouts and training can run after your last appointment. Evening training sessions are $720; daytime sessions are $640.	Our evenings, not yours. Evening work is by appointment, so we plan around your calendar, not ours.

Why this firm exists

The risk analysis nobody opened

It’s a scene we kept running into. A practice manager says, “we got that done a while back,” and points at a binder or a PDF from a vendor. Nobody can say what’s in it. The Wi-Fi password is taped under the keyboard. The router lives in the supply closet next to the toner.

A risk analysis nobody can read isn’t a risk analysis. It’s a prop.

Big security firms price small clinics out, or bury them in red charts and a product pitch. Cheap compliance sites sell a “HIPAA certified” badge for something that doesn’t exist. Dovelio sits in the gap: someone who stands in your back office with a clipboard, says what’s actually risky, and writes a price next to every fix.
